Les Invalides

'Les Invalides - built on the initiative of King Louis XIV, a large complex of buildings in Paris, on the left bank of the Seine. From the beginning, it served as a hospital and a boarding house for war invalids. In his rooms he could accommodate about four thousand sick and wounded. This complex consists of the Palace of the Invalids (fr Hôtel des Invalides), built according to the design of Libéral Bruant in the classical style in 1676 and the Church of the Invalids (fr. Dôme des Invalides), erected in 1706 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, in which they rest ashes of Napoleon Bonaparte. In the Palace of Invalids there are:
Musée de l'Armée,
Musée de l'Ordre de la Liberation,
Musée des Plans-Reliefs.' Wikipedia
