C for City Bike
Since the beginning of June we now have the City Bike in Kołobrzeg. There are twelve stations with 125 bikes. First of all you have to register at www.kolobrzeskirower.pl website and pay 10 PLN deposit. When you want to borrow a bike you just enter your phone number, PIN and bike number on the terminal. First twenty minutes is for free, first hour costs 2 PLN, two hours 3 PLN, third and next hours cost 10 PLN. The good thing is that once you register you can use bikes in 26 Polish cities or in other countries, which have contract with Nextbike company, which is provider of City Bike system.

Jeśli chcesz wypożyczyć rower, wystarczy wpisać numer telefonu, PIN i numer roweru na terminalu. Pierwsze 20 minut jest za darmo, do godziny przejażdżka kosztuje 2 PLN, dwie godziny kosztują 3 PLN, trzecia godzina i kolejne kosztują 10 PLN. Dobrą rzeczą jest to, iż jeśli zarejestrujesz w Kołobrzegu, to możesz korzystać z rowerów w 26 polskich miastach, a także w innych państwach, które mają umowę z Nextbike, firmą obsługującą system Rowerów Miejskich.

ReplyDeleteOverhere we have something similir... its called 'OV-fiets'... translated it sais: PT-Bike wich means public tranportation bike... at every trainstation in my country one can rent a bike.. I never use it so I don't know what it costs but the initiative is great.

There is a similar initiative here. We see them largely through the end of October. I don't know where they get stored over the winter though.
