Few miles away from Kolobrzeg harbour, terrorists took over the passenger catamaran...  But everything was under control.
The Special Forces, Border Guards, firemen, policemen and many other units coordinated together to retrieve the boat.
It was a scenario of a training drill named KAPER 17 which was prepared by Dowództwo Operacyjne Rodzajów Sił Zbrojnych. More then four hundred people participated in it. There was also two officers from Illinois National Guard (ILNG) observing the maneuvres and cooperating with DO RSZ.  The mission was a full success!

Kilka mil od kołobrzeskiego portu terroryści opanowali pasażerski katamaran 'Jantar'... ale wszystko było pod kontrolą.
Wojska Specjalne, Straż Graniczna, strażacy, policjanci i wiele innych jednostek było koordynowanych by odzyskać łódź.
Taki był scenariusz treningu pod nazwą KAPER 17, przygotowany przez Dowództwo Operacyjne Rodzajów Sił Zbrojnych. Ponad czterysta osób brało w nim udział. Ponadto dwóch oficerów z Gwardii Narodowej Stanu Illinois obserwował manewry jako część współpracy z DO RSZ. Misja zakończyła się pełnym sukcesem!

On Saturday week ago the Dragon Boats Regatta took place on the Parseta River.
The very first race was in 2000, when partner city of Barth presented Kolobrzeg with a german Drachenboote. Since then every year the Dragon Boats Regatta preface the Days of Kolobrzeg. The great thing about the regattas is that you can arrange your own squad, eg. people from school, friends from the same pub or a book club ...
Teams consist of sixteen to twenty paddlers, one drummer and one helmsman.
This year eighteen teams competed in the race and the winner was the Maritime College team.

W sobotę tydzień temu na Parsęcie odbyły się Regaty Smoczych Łodzi.
Pierwszy tego typu wyścig miał miejsce w 2000 r., gdy miasto partnerskie Barth dało niemieckie Drachenboote dla Kołobrzegu. Od tamtej pory co roku Regaty Smoczych Łodzi rozpoczynają Dni Kołobrzegu. Dobrym pomysłem jest to, że można stworzyć skład z kolegami ze szkoły, pracy, przyjaciółmi z pubu czy klubu książki...
Drużyny składająsię z szesnatsu do dwudziestu zawodników, jednego bębniarza i jednego sternika.
W tym roku zaprezentowało się osiemnaście zespołów, a zwycięzcą został Zespół Szkół Morskich.

It was the 9th time that bikers from moto club 'Voyager' organised a blood donation event for our hospital. With a little help from your friends you can make the world better a better place.

To już dziewiąty raz, gdy motocykliści z klubu 'Voyager' zorganizowali zbiórkę krwi dla kołobrzeskiego szpitala. Z małą pomocą przyjaciół można zmienić świat.

We had a chance to see fast and furious speeder bikes and classic Harleys.

Oglądaliśmy szybkie i wściekłe ścigacze, jak i klasyczne Harleye.
There was a "bloodbus" where volunteers could donate blood or register asmpotential blood donors.

Na Skwerze Pionierów przystanął krwiobus, gdzie chętni oddawali krew lub rejestrowali się jako dawcy.
Local producers as usual prepared yummy food and for those with a taste for culture there was a performance of The Swan Lake.

"In 1910, the complex of power plant buildings on Lopuskiego St opened. It formed the basis of municipal power company - the hydro mill on Mlynska St (the hydrophone building remains remains to these days *) was also a resource. The main power plant had a DC headquarters of 2 x 220 V with a steam- power generator and a battery pack. Power generation was provided by two steam boilers manufactured by Steinmmuler from Gummersbach. Its heating surfaced measured 76.3 m2, with built-in superheaters with an area of 16.7 m2 to 11 Atm of excess pressure and temperature of 325 °C. In the engine room, there were two double steam machines, produced by Hannoversche Maschinenbau A.-G. from Hannover withthe utility power of 180 hp coupled to a DC generator manufacctured by Siemens-Schuckert-Werke from Berlin. This company also made the powerline network and street lighting. Technical equipment was scrapped at the end of the 1950s. 'Marona' was placed in the buildings confectionery factory." "Zespół budynków elektrowni przy ul. Łopuskiego został oddany do użytku w 1910 r. Stanowił podstawę miejskiego zakładu energetycznego, w którego zasobie znajdowała się również elektrownia wodna przy ul. Młyńskiej (budynek hydroforni zachował się do dziś *). Elekrownia główna miała centralę prądu stałęgo 2 x 220 V z napędem parowym i baterią akumulatorów. Wytwarzanie prądu zapewniały dwa kotły parowe produkcji firmy Steinmuler z Gummersbach o powierzchni grzejnej 76,3 m2, z wbudowanymi przegrzewaczami o powierzchni 16,7 m2 na 11 Atm. nadciśnienia i temperaturze 325°C. W maszynowni były dwie podwójne maszyny parowe produkcji Hannoversche MAschinenbau A.-G. z Hanoweru z mocą użytkową 180KM, sprzężone z generatorami prądu stałego produkcji Siemens-Schuckert-Werke z Berlina, która wykonała również sieć kablową i oświetlenie ulic. Urządzenia techniczne zostały zezłomowane na końcu lat 50-tych XX w., a w budynkach umieszczono fabrykę słodyczy 'Marona'." Tablica obok budynku.
