'St Saviour's is an Anglo-Catholic church in Pimlico, City of Westminster, London, England, located at the north end of St George's Square. It was constructed in the 1860s as part of Thomas Cubitt's development of the area on behalf of the Marquess of Westminster. The church was designed by Thomas Cundy (...) in the Gothic style and built with ragstone to emphasise the contrast with the classical stucco of its secular neighbours (...)
The foundation stone was laid on 16 June 1863 and the church was consecrated on 16 July 1864. At 170 feet (51.8m) high, the spire was at the time one of the tallest in London (...)
In 1871, the present organ by Hill & Son was installed. In 1882, there was a major restoration called by a former churchwarden "the beautifying of the church": the galleries were removed, the arcade work was added to the sanctuary and the East window filled with stained glass. This work was made possible by the generosity of the parishioners (the sum of £1,500 being collected) and the supervision of the work by Romaine Walker himself. Further stained glass windows were completed after 1882 and pictures added.' Wikipedia

Kamień węgielny położono 16 czerwca 1863 roku, a kościół konsekrowano 16 lipca 1864 roku. Na wysokości 170 stóp (51,8 m) znalazła się iglica i była wówczas jedną z najwyższych w Londynie (...)
W 1871 roku zainstalowane zostały obecne organy firmy Hill & Son. W 1882 roku dokonano gruntownej renowacji, którą dawny naczelnik kościoła nazwał „upiększeniem kościoła”: galerie zostały usunięte, do świątyni dodano arkadę, a wschodnie okno wypełniono witrażem. Dzieło to było możliwe dzięki hojności parafian (zebrano 1500 funtów) i nadzorowi pracy samego Romaine'a Walkera. Kolejne witraże zostały ukończone po 1882 roku i dodano zdjęcia.' Wikipedia
