Flaming Birds

Rzeźba 'Płonące Ptaki' autorstwa Władysława Hasiora została wykonana w latach 1978-1980 i przedstawia orły na rydwanach, które ciągną za sobą wieloskibowe pługi. Została dedykowana 'Tym, co walczyli o polskość i wolność ziem Pomorza'. Rzeźba o długości 80 metrów znajduje się na terenie Politechniki Koszalińskiej u zbiegu ulic Jana Pawła II, Fałata i Gdańskiej. Na całość składa się dwadzieścia cztery formy rzeźbiarskie. W czasie ważnych uroczystości w specjalnych zagłębieniach w rzeźbach płonie ogień.

The sculpture 'Flaming Birds' by Władysław Hasior was made in the years 1978-1980 and depicts eagles on chariots, which drag multi-plows behind them. It was dedicated to '(...) those who fought for Poland and freedom in Pomerania'. The 80-meter-long sculpture is located in the Koszalin University of Technology at the intersection of Jana Pawła II, Fałata and Gdańska Streets. The whole consists of twenty-four sculptural forms. During important ceremonies, a fire burns in special depressions in the sculptures.
